Working in Atlanta

Built for a city that never stops cooking

Atlanta’s restaurant scene stretches from Downtown and Midtown to Buckhead, West Midtown and the neighborhoods along the BeltLine. The common thread in all of those kitchens is the floor: wet dish pits, greasy cook lines and walk-ins that sweat every time the door opens. Quarry tile and grout break down under that punishment, and a cracked tile is a slip hazard and an inspection note waiting to happen.

Protect-All replaces thousands of feet of grout with a few hundred feet of welded seams, and it runs continuously from the fry line into the cooler. Because it is resilient, cooks spend their shift on a surface that is easier on legs and backs, and fewer dropped plates end up in pieces.

Restaurants inside the city limits are inspected by the Fulton County Board of Health or DeKalb Public Health, depending on the address. Georgia’s Food Service Rules (Chapter 511-6-1) require floors that are smooth, durable and easily cleanable, with coved and sealed floor-wall junctions where floors are water-flushed. The state’s food service design manual lists “PVC with chemically welded seams” as an accepted walk-in cooler floor.

We are based in Buford, a short run up I-85 from the city, so site visits, measurements and install nights fit around your service instead of the other way around.

How a project runs

From walk-through to back in service

Site assessment

We walk the space, measure, check the slab or subfloor and note drains, thresholds and equipment that has to move.

Clear scope

You get a written scope: install system, color, cove base, drain rings, schedule and price. No guesswork on install night.

Install

Our factory-trained crew preps the substrate, sets Protect-All in urethane adhesive and welds the seams. Most kitchens are scheduled around closed hours.

Back to work

Rapid Weld seams take foot traffic in about 20 to 30 minutes; the adhesive reaches normal traffic in roughly 12 hours.

Atlanta FAQ

Questions we hear in Atlanta

Can you install without closing our Atlanta restaurant for a week?
In most cases, yes. We schedule around your service hours, often overnight or on your slowest days. Protect-All is set in urethane adhesive and Rapid Weld seams accept foot traffic in about 20 to 30 minutes, so there is no multi-day cure like a poured coating. Exact timing depends on square footage and substrate prep, which we confirm during the site assessment.
Will the floor pass a Fulton or DeKalb health inspection?
Protect-All is smooth, non-absorbent and easily cleanable, and we finish walls with an integral cove base and seal drains with stainless drain rings. Those are the features Georgia’s food service rules look for. Georgia’s design manual also lists PVC with chemically welded seams as an accepted walk-in floor. Final approval always rests with your inspector, so we are happy to share spec sheets in advance.
Do you work on high-rise and mixed-use buildings in Midtown and Buckhead?
Yes. We plan material staging, freight elevator time and after-hours access with building management before the install date.
How much does a commercial kitchen floor cost in Atlanta?
It depends on square footage, substrate condition and whether old tile comes up. We give a fixed written price after a free site visit. See our cost guide for how Protect-All compares with quarry tile and epoxy.
