Code & compliance

Alabama’s floor requirements

Alabama’s food establishment rules, Chapter 420-3-22, adopt the FDA Food Code, with inspections by county health departments under the Alabama Department of Public Health. The Food Code requires smooth, durable, easily cleanable floors that are non-absorbent in food prep areas and walk-in refrigerators, with coved floor-wall junctions.

Coverage note: we serve nearly all of Alabama. The Mobile County area on the Gulf Coast is currently outside our range.

Who uses Protect-All in Alabama

Alabama is home to auto plants from Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes and Toyota, a major aerospace sector in Huntsville, steel in Birmingham and a large poultry industry. Add two SEC campuses and busy school systems, and there are a lot of cafeterias, locker rooms, weight rooms and restaurant kitchens that need a floor built for hard use.
