Why it works

Water stays on top, not underneath

The enemy in a wet room is water getting under the floor. Grout absorbs it, coatings let it creep in at cracks and edges, and once it is underneath, floors lift, smell and fail. Protect-All is non-absorbent, its seams are welded and it is sealed to the drains with stainless drain rings and to the walls with integral cove base.

Wet Area Flooring questions

Is Protect-All waterproof?

The material is non-absorbent, and with welded seams, cove base and drain rings the floor system keeps water on the surface. Showers and steep slopes to drains need specific detailing, which we assess on site.

Can it go outdoors?

The matte finish is UV-stable and interlocking tiles can be used outdoors. Rapid Weld seams are not UV-stable, so outdoor areas are detailed differently.

Does it get moldy?

It resists bacteria and mildew growth (ASTM G21), and there is no grout to hold moisture.

What about drains?

Stainless steel drain rings are required at drains and floor penetrations of 3 inches or more. We order them ahead for each project.
