Code & compliance

South Carolina’s food code and your floor

South Carolina’s retail food establishments are governed by Regulation 61-25, which has been administered by the SC Department of Agriculture since July 1, 2024 (it was previously run by DHEC). Like the FDA Food Code it is modeled on, it expects floors in food service areas to be smooth, durable and easily cleanable.

Protect-All’s welded seams remove grout lines, its surface does not absorb water or grease, and integral cove base closes the floor-wall joint. Your inspector has the final word, and we provide product data for plan review on request.

Industries

Who uses Protect-All in South Carolina

South Carolina’s economy combines tourism on the coast with heavy manufacturing inland: BMW’s plant near Spartanburg makes the state the country’s leading car exporter, and Michelin’s North American headquarters is in Greenville. That means restaurant kitchens by the thousand, plus plant cafeterias, break rooms and fitness centers.

We also work with school districts, colleges, veterinary practices, water parks and churches across the state.
