The sticker price per square foot is only part of the story. Here is what really drives the cost of a commercial kitchen floor, and how the common options compare over their life.
Published cost ranges for commercial kitchen floors vary widely. Industry guides commonly cite roughly $5 to $12 per square foot for quarry tile (some sources run as high as $12 to $25 installed), about $4 to $10 for epoxy with local contractors quoting $6 to $15 in the Atlanta market, and around $8 to $14 for urethane cement on jobs under 10,000 square feet. Substrate preparation can add another $2 to $5 per square foot.
Those numbers leave out the costs that matter most to an operator: how long you are closed, how often the floor needs repair, and what a slip-and-fall claim costs. A cheaper floor that closes you for a week, or needs regrouting every year, is not cheaper.
We quote Protect-All installs as a fixed written price after a free site visit, because substrate condition, tear-out and access change every job.

Published ranges from industry sources including Modular Culinaire, Craftsman Concrete Floors and Atlanta-area contractors; prices vary by project and change over time. Protect-All pricing depends on your site.
Every night you are closed is lost revenue. Poured systems need cure time before traffic and full chemical resistance. Protect-All is installed in sheets, and Rapid Weld seams accept foot traffic in about 20 to 30 minutes, with normal traffic on the adhesive after roughly 12 hours.
A 1,500-square-foot room of six-inch quarry tile has about 6,400 linear feet of grout. The same room in Protect-All has about 750 linear feet of welded seams, according to the manufacturer. Less joint means less to clean, erode and repair.
Slips, trips and falls are among the most frequent and costly injury claims in restaurants. A floor that stays slip-resistant when wet and greasy, like Protect-All’s NFSI certified matte finish, directly reduces that risk.
A resilient floor is easier to stand on for a full shift, and dropped plates and glasses are less likely to shatter. Both show up in labor and replacement costs over time.
